As ourTextronics Senior Industrial Designer, you'll be expected to bring your own MVP performance to the tasks below.
Purpose:
To create wearable electronics performance innovations which drive the advanced product process from opportunity identification through production reality.
Key Accountabilities:
§ Design cutting edge product innovation that sets the industry standard for athletic performance. Collaborate with dedicated initiative team to ensure seamless integration into inline product plans. Be the conscience of innovation for the company. Manage external collaborations for varied design projects.
§ Design and develop cutting edge product innovations that lead the wearable sports electronics category innovation agendas.
§ Act as performance, wearability and user interface innovation conscience for the company.
§ Collaborate with ait, digital BU, In-Line categories to ensure innovations are integrated into long term product plans.
§ Research consumer insights to drive aesthetic, ergonomic, and technical aspects of each project.
§ Constantly resource new materials and processes in conjunction with new manufacturing techniques.
§ Communicate and share new insights and best practices to extended innovation team members.
§ Build external alliances with outside industries that elevate and advance new ait innovation opportunities.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
§ Expertise in product design
§ Good cross-team collaboration, communication and presentation skills
§ Excellent problem identification and solution abilities
§ Ability to work in and with multicultural teams.
§ Proven track record of working on small-medium sized electronic based technical projects at every stage of the development cycle
§ Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
Qualifications:
§ Degree from four-year college or university in Industrial design or related field and
§ Minimum 7 years of progressive design experience in product design
§ Apparel design experience preferred
§ Combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for degree
