As our Testing Engineer Footwear Quality youll be expected to bring your own MVP performance to the tasks below
Purpose
To coordinate implement and execute functional testing programs in support of In-Line Footwear product teams Manage the Quality Testing process for the adidas Innovation Team ensuring that products are meeting and exceeding athlete expectations in terms of fit comfort performance and quality
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
* Coordinate and execute all In-Line product testing including Lab performance and mechanical testing according to established adidas global standards and practices
* Coordinate and execute fit and wear tests of footwear prototypes and samples developed by the adidas Innovation Team
* Synthesize reports and disseminate the results of testing to each of the relevant personnel which can include Marketing Project Management Design Quality and ait
* Test prototypes & innovations prior to commercialization
* Execute requested footwear tests for In-Line teams
* Communicate regularly with Inline product teams and provides them with test results and product feedback
* Plan and execute biomechanical Vicon Kinematics and dynamic material testing Instron
* Coordinate the scheduling of mechanical and laboratory performance testing with the ait Sports Research Lab to ensure that Inline testing can be completed in schedule that meets the demands of In-Line development while accommodating the other demands on the laboratory space and equipment
* Assist in managing Hardware and Software maintenance of the lab equipment
* Coordinate and execute fit and wear testing of footwear products in development by the ait following the methods and standards used by Quality for inline fit and wear testing
* Communicate regularly with ait product teams and provides them with results and feedback from fit and wear testing

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
* Excellent written and verbal communication including presentation skills Fluent English language skills
* Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work in a team environment
* High attention to detail
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
* Basic footwear manufacturing knowledge and general sports knowledge is an advantage
* Strong computer skills MS Word Excel Powerpoint Outlook
Requisite Education and Experience Minimum Qualifications
* University degree in Mechanical Engineering Biomechanics or equivalent
* At least 3 years of working experience in the shoe industry development or testing or same level of experience in a related industry is preferred
* Knowledge of mechanics sport shoes and footwear development
* Familiar with software used for data collection and data processing such as LabView Matlab or similar systems
