Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation
The focus of this position is to provide technical governance of the SAP Landscape through SAP development – partnering internal functional teams and external service providers
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor design and specification of SAP developments within multiple SAP environments by outsourced partner’s offshore team
* Actively manage quality assurance with vendor suggest and follow up to reach higher code quality based on own experience
* Identify and implement technical innovations to all related technical fields
* Planning of resource requirements for various projects in collaboration with regional functional team leads
* Ensure all development conforms to the department’s QA policies methodologies standards and guidelines
* Bridge the gap between business process and technical design
* SAP technical consultant to internal stakeholders
Authorities
While closely monitoring deliveries from external vendors in order to get high quality products this position is authorized to work independently with the vendors to provide best practices continuously improving standards with using new technology and project management skills The ABAP code quality and ABAP delivery is strongly interdependent on the work experience and decisions taking within the Technical Architect Team

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
* Decent application development or systems analysis background
* In-depth knowledge of SAP with strong experience in ABAP development and Web Dynpro for Java & ABAP development
* Experience in a complex landscape with a mixture of SAP and non-SAP installations
* Experience interfacing with various EAI middleware tools is desirable
* Ability to work in an international and virtual certain extend team environment
* Fluent in English both spoken and written
* German or another language would be beneficial but not essential
Requisite Education and Experience Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelors degree in Business Computer Science or a related field
* 3 years of working hands-on in SAP development area
* A good understanding of business processes with the SD MM & FI modules is required experience with the Apparel Footwear Industry Solution AFS a plus
