Purpose
As a member of the adidas Wearable Sports Electronics aWSE the target is to deliver new innovative wearable sports electronics systems
The purpose of the role is to engineer market leading concepts and systems via electronic and mechanical engineering expertise improving brand competitiveness through product and technology leadership
A focus area will be in the supervision of a system development program and the relevant suppliers Quality and Reliability assessment programs need to be planned and executed as well compliance assessments performed Expert knowledge in the development of embedded systems as well experience in production transfer is required
Key Accountabilities
* Supervision of suppliers and program management within the system development
* Quality and Reliability assessment of the electronic system in development
* Characterization design and realization of electronics prototypes
* Design verification and development of testing infrastructure
* Development of algorithms signal analysis and according test systems calibration procedures and data acquisition systems
* Design and implementation of embedded software for microcontrollers MSP430 ARM Cortex M3M4
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
* Experience in managing external suppliers and projects
* Expertise in the assessment of reliability quality and conformity of electronic systems
* Experience in designing multi-layer high density PCBs with analog and digital ground schemes using Cadence ORCAD or similar tools
* Expertise in electrical measurement techniques and electronics test equipment
* Experience with Labview or similar software Matlab and simulation tools SPICE SimuLink
* Experience in designing electrical interconnects
* Experience in embedded software programming and software quality standards
* Know-how in product qualification procedures
* Technical knowledge in
* Plastic Mold design
* Design Verification and Test
* Low noise amplification of signals
* Inertial Sensors
* AD and DA conversion
* Good cross team collaboration communication and presentation skills
* Experience with MS Office Outlook statistical packages and CAD tools
* Experience with Windows Linux and real time operating systems
* Excellent problem identification and solution abilities
* Travel to external and internal partners on an as-needed basis for project work andor to resolve issues
* High level of autonomy and self motivation
Qualifications
* Bachelors’ Degree in electronics or electro-mechanical engineering or equivalent
* Master’s Degree Preferred
* Minimum of 6 years experience in electronic design engineering product engineering product development or similar position
or
* Equivalent combination of both education andor experience
