Purpose
Lead a cross-functional team in the development and implementation of marketing campaigns for key initiatives andor categories with direct responsibilities for driving media messaging and digital strategies including development of new creative conceptsplatforms
Key Accountabilities
* Chief liason for the category Business Units maintaining an in-depth knowledge of and contributing to categories business goals and positioning strategy
* Maintain an in-depth understanding of the target athlete how athletes across sport train and surrounding culture to ensure relevant consumer insights fuel all marketing elements – be the category expert and evangelist within Brand and Account Marketing
* Interface with Global Brand Marketing to understand Global category positioning leverage relevant tools and provide insight on US consumers and market-specific needs
* Lead development of messaging strategy and creative platform for assigned sport category in the US
* Drive overall integrated Comms planning for key concepts and category initiatives setting high level Communications goals and leading a cross functional team including PR In-storeRetail Events Product Sports Marketing and Account Marketing in the development and implementation of campaign strategies and executional plans
* Manage internal and external design agency partners in development of creative campaigns content and tools to support key initiatives
* Drive the media and digital activation strategies and execution
* Partner with Account Marketing adidas Retail and adidas eComm to understand and exploit retail opportunities and ensure Brand Marketing toolkits are relevant actionable impactful and leading
* Create and deliver holistic and inspiring presentations around the key concept or category marketing plans to support seasonal sell-in of product and marketing elements
* Manage the assigned categories brand budgets and influence the direction of co-op budgets behind related initiatives
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
* Passion for sports
* Experience in developing integrated marketing communications programs hands on experience leading a digital strategy a plus
* Strong understanding of how all the elements in the marketing mix affect consumer motivation
* Proven ability to develop innovative strategies and drive creativity
* Strong customer-facing abilities ability to partner and influence
* Ability to lead and mobilize a cross-functional team without direct management responsibilities
* Experience in managing creative design agencies in development of innovative campaigns
* Strong project management and planning skills
* Strong presentation skills and extensive experience in building PPTs
* Understanding of sporting goods industry and related retail channels a plus
Qualifications
* BA in marketing advertising or related field required
* Minimum five years of marketing experience preferably with a sporting or consumer goods company or equivalent account management experience at an advertisingdesign agency
