As ourSr Color Designer - Sport Performanceyoull be expected to bring your own MVP performance to the tasks below

Purpose
Establish US color direction for the footwear and apparel categories basketball US sports and running Maintain and nurture the global design direction through communication with the design team color development and marketing Collects and shares US market and trend information to drive seasonal adidas creative direction

Key Accountabilities
* Create and maintain positive relationships with Design Marketing and Development teams
* Manage the department workload and balance concurrent timelines and priorities by partnering with Design Marketing and Development and managing and then communicating expectations
* Create and maintain a key contact position between Global Footwear and Apparel Design
* Provide expertise and guidance to Color and Tech Design team and to ensure balance between design seasons
* Manage personnel within the department including annual performance reviews Ensure organizational efficiency through effective motivation training and development of direct reports
* Create maintain and communicate a departmental calendar with all relevant dates
* Create line art color cads and photoreals for footwear and Import finished CADS into production software systems accurately
* Collaborates with design marketing and development regarding color schemes color stories and placement ideas based on trends reaction to fabricmaterials and Brand Objectives
* Acts as a color consultant to Marketing PLMs designers and Key Accounts
* Own and track project status by partnering with development marketing and design Follow through to the end of the project troubleshooting and facilitating as needed
* Create PowerPoint and Keynote Presentations and present to both internal and external customers
* Travel to the market place and research colour and trend information Recognize and apply appropriate trend information to specific categories
* Provide color design for key projects

* Ability to effectively manage and lead a team of personnel
* Ability to coordinate teams and manage resources to meet deadlines
* Excellent influencing and leadership skills
* Excellent collaboration and business partnership skills
* Computer skills Illustrator PhotoShop PowerPoint
* Have in-depth knowledge of athlete trends and sneaker industry
* Advanced knowledge of art and design with clear understanding of visual design concepts including color mixing color compatibility and color placement
* Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers clients and other employees of the organization

Qualifications
* Four year degree from a college or university
* Minimum Five 5 years industry experience 2 two years management experience
* Experience in performance footwear and required
* Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for degree
