Purpose

Key Responsibilities
In the context of the CC eCommerce the key responsibilities of the “Solution Architect” are
* To design a solution landscape for the CC eCommerce which is integrated into other areas like sales retail planning operations marketing and infrastructure
* To help define standards for design and development and to ensure that they are applied within the CC eCommerce
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
* Maintain current technical knowledge to support rapidly changing technology be always on a look out for new technologies and work with management and development team in bringing new technologies on board
* Architect and design all technical aspects of eCommerce stores from commerce to content and all the system and infrastructure touch points
* Advise on best practices methodology refinement and solution validation Research and evaluate alternative solutions and recommend implementations
* Act as the key trouble-shooter in technical difficultcomplexescalated incidents
* Provide innovative ideas and solutions in an ever-changing environment with an up-to-date knowledge regarding existing technologies
* Be very hands-on coordinate the external development teams to manage the day-to-day development activities by driving architecture decisions participating in designs design reviews code reviews and implementation Identify risks and develop risk mitigation strategies
* Perform code reviews and enforces governance in projects
* This position will be involved in all phases of product development from vendor selection to review of functional specifications through assisting with the design and oversight of the development activities
* Manage external vendors and SLA agreements
Required Skills
* A passion to stay abreast of latest eCommerce technology and web related IT topics
* Have experience in automated testing and continuous integration
* Experience with eCommerce engines Hybris Demandware or similar
* General understanding of physical hardware architecture caching and network infrastructure including Akamai
* Knowledge of SQLDB usage and performance and enchantments strongly desired Oracle preferred
* Familiar with common Java Application servers and deployments
* Experience with Web Services SOAP Rest CXF Axis Optimization Reliability Governance or other remoting frameworks a plus
* Strong software engineering skills with an understanding of development methods Agile Extreme Waterfall
* Additional language skills Ruby HTML CSS Javascript AJAX a plus JVM … a plus
* Knowledge of project management tools bug tracking JIRA Confluence preferred

Requisite Education
* BS or MS degree in Information Systems Computer Science Computer Engineering or equivalent
* 3 years overall eCommerce experience with application architectureenterprise architecture systems integration and development package implementation
* 3 years experience as a system architect responsible for at least one large scale eCommerce architecture ideally using an eCommerce framework like hybris Demandware ATG IBM Websphere Hybris andor Demandware strongly preferred
* Experiences as a trouble shooter in difficultemergency project or operational situations
