Senior Technical Architect Infrastructure Global Webservicesmf
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation
The Infrastructure Technical Web Service Architect to support the global adidas GROUP Infrastructure Web Services and Applications B2B B2C and B2E main customers are adidas Global Marketing and Communications Reebok and TaylorMade Digital Marketing
Development of a structured standardized and consolidated set of infrastructure services that optimally support business processes and applications
Key Responsibilities
* Improve service levels such as availability scalability security efficiency flexibility and performance
* Develops documents make recommendations and communicates plans for investing in IT infrastructure including analysis of cost reduction opportunities
* Designs end-to-end integrated systems
* Support and Implementation of new Web Services and Applications
* Coordination with external provider for advanced level configuration
* Being the technical point of contact for internal customer
* Ensure best possible global adidas Infrastructure Web Services and Web Applications
* Implementation of innovative Infrastructure new Web Technologies
* Proactively identify and gather requirements to avoid capacity constraints on all levels of the stack
* Ability to assess and plan the development of long-term strategic goals for the global Group Web Service environment in conjunction with IT service owners and department managers
Authorities
* Attend service review meetings areas covered will include performance reports service improvements quality and processes
* Support Senior Manager in defining Global adidas Group standards for Web Services
* Create and maintain Infrastructure Web Service documentation
* Support of Web Service Audits and Certifications
* Infrastructure Capacity Management of Web Services
Key Relationships
* Works closely with other IT department teams to ensure efficient and effective implementation of strategic designs
* External Hosting provider and suppliers
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
* In-depth knowledge of Infrastructure and Web Services and Web Application Technologies
* Good communication staff management coaching and interpersonal skills
* Ability to handle complaints and escalations
* Ability to work in a high pressure environment
Requisite Education and Experience Minimum Qualifications
* At least 5 years experience in managing Web Services and Web Applications
* Ideally experience working as a Solution Architect Technical Project Manager responsible for large infrastructure services
* Ability to manage technical and project resources of external vendors’ for a particular project
* Experience developing strategic plans
* Outstanding written and oral communication skills
* Knowledge of relational database design and management
* Knowledge of Infrastructure Services
* Knowledge of network protocols and standards
* Ability to work independently as well in a group
* ITIL – Service Delivery experience is beneficial
* Fluency in English both written and spoken
* Fluency in German advantageous
