Purpose
Portal is an integration solution providing simplified access to structured and unstructured information enrichment of applications and access channels with standardized services and enablement of user interface development through the use of integrated design and modelling tools
The SAP NetWeaver Portal offers a single point of access to SAP and non-SAP information sources enterprise applications information repositories databases and services - all integrated into a single user portal experience SAP NetWeaver Portal provides the tools to manage and analyze this knowledge and to share and collaborate on the basis of it The SAP NetWeaver Portal also delivers collaboration features that enable individuals teams and interested parties to work closely together towards common goals
Assignments fall under a broad spectrum of tasks related to the entire life cycle of applications from deployment through exploitation to phase out Heshe also can be assigned a significant responsibility within a program or large-scale project with direct or indirect responsibilities for people and budgets The overall purpose of these assignments is to carry out tasks with a high degree of competence and professionalism so that information needs within the international context of the adidas-Group AG can be met
The “Senior IT Consultant – Portal” is responsible providing efficient operational solution support to the entire landscape being central contact person for any support or demand requests In addition the “Senior IT Consultant – Portal” is responsible in the implementation of the SAP Portal and other SAP web solutions modules and to guide adidas internal customers on process integration towards the global IT landscape In the role as “Senior IT Consultant – Portal” heshe will be involved in all aspects of the SAP Portal projects programs overseeing all phases from design develop and deployment of applications into the adidas SAP Portal solution
Key Responsibilities
The spectrum of tasks can vary or be combined of different subject areas including but not limited to technology engineering application analysis and deployment support application technology design and specification as well as application support and IT business consulting
* Lead support and operation harmonization efforts on a global scale
* Manage local or global business demands issues resolutions and escalations
* Coordination of activities between CC’s Infrastructure Service Provider SAP and third party vendors SAP add-on’s
* Develop and support future-orientated IT strategies
* Act as the guardian of the productive SAP Portal environments responsible for driving the approval of proposed changes
* Design develop and implement System landscape definition according to customer specification
* Oversee and lead E2E root cause analyses starting from incident to problem and change management
* Ability to bridge the business with the SAP solution and provide expertise in functional and technical specification and design
* Guide and advice adidas customer on the design and definition of Web services SOA process or mobile apps integration
* Perform and lead quality assurance during the software lifecycle development process
* Managing projects within our ongoing Portal program’s
* Lead the Portal Service Delivery process to the adidas customers SLAOLA Monitoring & end-user support

Requisite Education
* Technical knowledge in one or more of the following areas SAP Netweaver Web Application Server and SAP Portal
* Certification in SAP Portal is an asset
* Experience in pre-sales and high –level assignments of system architecture definitions
* Sound experience in Portal project management in SAP and Non-SAP environments PMI certification is an asset
* Experience in formulating documenting and implementing technical specifications
* Good knowledge of current trends including systems integration and service-oriented architecture
* Ability to perform in a dynamic environment with over 400 interfaces where quality and flexibility are critical
* Ability to create and maintain contact and trust with the internal clients
* Responsibility and clear focus on the client’s problems
* Fluency in English both spoken and written
