As our Senior Development Engineer - adidas Innovation Teamyoull be expected to bring your own MVP performance to the tasks below
Key Tasks
* Manage Mechanical Cushioning and Training for Sports technology platforms Generate and develop market leading concepts products and processes within the area of ait adidas innovation team Energy Management by addressing engineering and development know how
* Set project targets for development engineers and Interns Provide leadership mentoring and standards of practice for ait Materials- and Mechanical Engineers as well as Interns Create performance and quality guidelines
* Responsible for strategic planning execution and co-ordination of all footwear related projects and activities of the team Energy Management special focus on Formotion Running
* Responsible for carrying out and following up functional and consumer research and transfer results into processes or products
* Responsible for effective development of designs from prototyping testing and refinement through to transition to In-Line for commercialization
* Manage innovation projects
- Work with innovation teams to develop innovation strategies for ait
- Set project objectives define and document project phases
- Develop products processes monitor engineering and co-ordinate testing
- Use dedicated project resources in the most economic manner
- Ensure manufacturability and cost effectiveness of products and technologies
- Furnish tech package transfer to inline
- Act as a technical consultant during and after transfer of the project
* Drive technology and consumer research and follow up testing
- Work together with all research and testing partners within the adidas Group and with external partners
- Evaluate and interpret test results
- Carry out experimental and literature research
- Manage and conduct consumer research and identify potential for product and innovation strategy
- Evaluate the functional characteristics of the products and their impact on comfort performance and protection lab - andor wear tests
* Prepare concept and product evaluations and presentations
- Set engineering guidelines and evaluate detailed concept plans and structures
- Build up a frequent information flow to ait and team management
- Supply legal department with data in case a product technology innovation process design is to be patented
* Establish strategic partnerships
- Develop technology resources and competencies in anticipation of future needs
- Build up an effective information network which provides quick access to latest technical innovations
- Travel to internal and external partners to follow up project work
- arrange confidentiality and strategic partnership agreements with external partners in co-operation with the adidas legal department
Professional background
* Experience in project management market experience within the supply chain
* 7 years progressive experience in product development
* Deep know-how about pattern making CAD materials and manufacturing
* Good communication skills
