PurposeBring the adidas brand and the Soccer category to life at retail to support quality sell-through providing retail and merchandising expertise to the team and leading the development and delivery of retail programs and toolkits for activation at wholesale
Key Accountabilities
* Develop retail-focused in-store solutions point-of-sale fixtures merchandising strategies other visual elements that support brand and category direction strengthen adidas’ presentation and bring product stories to life from the shelf out
* Drive a retail vision pov for assigned categories and concepts – providing recommendations and proactively leading internal and external teams through both sell-in and sell-through around retail packages and “toolkits”
* Maintain a thorough understanding of key retail channels and accounts for assigned category and in partnership with Account Marketing develop brand creative strategies that help adidas gain space and support sell-through of key initiatives
* Partner with Global Retail in the development of category campaigns providing input on market needs briefing in additional US components to align with Global shoots where applicable and communicating US timelines and material needs to ensure relevant tools are delivered in time to impact sell-in and sell-through
* For US-specific programselements write project briefs manage internal and external agency partners design and print production in the development of the campaign tools and coordinate the final execution and implementation of programs
* Partner with the Comms Digi and Account Marketing teams to coordinate account presentations approvals and final implementation – including confirmation of quantities shipping and installation
* Manage allocated budgets for all in-store initiatives
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
* Proven understanding of retail needs with a focus on product presentation both 2D and 3D merchandising and enhancing sell-through
* Experience developing innovative strategies and strong creative instincts
* Strong customer-facing abilities ability to partner and influence
* Ability to lead and mobilize a cross-functional team without direct management responsibilities
* Passion for Sports
* Strong project management and planning skills
* Strong communication and presentation skills
* Understanding of sporting goods industry and related retail channels a plus
* Basic understanding of retail math acumen
* Print production knowledge highly preferred from creative design development to print vendorfile set up
* Retail floor experience andor retail account experience preferred
Qualifications
* BA in marketing advertising or related field required
* Minimum three 3 years of marketing experience preferably with a sporting or consumer goods company or equivalent account management experience at an advertisingdesign agency
* Experience working with footwear and apparel a plus
* Visual Merchandising experience a plus
