As aPattern Maker Apparelyou will support the pattern creation process for innovative and complex apparel in collaboration with Creation Center teams Design Marketing Brand Operations Sourcing and suppliers You will train and consult product development teams and suppliers on pattern creation process
JOB PROFILE
* Support the development of basic and model patterns and the pattern creation of fully graded technically innovative basic and fit critical model patterns in cooperation with x-functional partners based on market requirements maintain the information in the product creation system and ensure that new patterns are wear tested as needed
* Under the guidance of a Team Leader lead x-functional pattern and fit presentations
* Consult with and has the final call for fit related issues when exceptions occur in Product Development teams
* Apply grading rules to ensure consistency in fit and contribute actively in terms of fitprinciple pattern guidelines
* Understand and consider relationship between patternmaterial usageyields during pattern creation as it relates to margins
* Support Manager Pattern ApparelTeam Leader on working out training plans and manuals for the global pattern teams as well as for x-functional teams
* Work on an ongoing basis on new solutions to reach creative pattern goals by using new methods and systems andor new constructions
* Where applicable create virtual prototypes to increase speed and efficiency of the product creation process
YOUR PROFILE
* Technical collegefashion school training in pattern making grading “Meisterbrief” or equivalent education
* Minimum of 1-2 years related work experience in garment industry in comparable role
* Knowledge in pattern creation and grading with the ability to provide effective and cost efficient pattern solutions and an understanding of apparel construction material construction and properties related to fit
* Ability to interpret and evaluate designs on model level in regards to pattern executionengineering
* Team playercommunicator with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects under multiple deadlines
* Ability to work with diverse groups motivate or mentor others and a proven skill at problem solving and innovation
* Effective written and verbal communication skills
* Fluent in English written and spoken
* Advanced knowledge in V-Stitcher or similar 3D programs
* Advanced skills in Gerber or similar CAD programs
* Advanced IT skills Illustrator MS Office
* Ability to travel domestic or international as required
