Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation
Assignments fall under a broad spectrum of tasks related to the entire life cycle of applications from deployment through exploitation to phase out Heshe also can be assigned a significant responsibility within a program or large-scale project with direct or indirect responsibilities for people and budgets The overall purpose of these assignments is to carry out tasks with a high degree of competence and professionalism so that information needs within the international context of the adidas-Group AG can be met
SAP Technology Business Consultant is responsible providing efficient operational solution support to the entire landscape being central contact person for any support or demand requests
To emphasize life cycle management the organisation SAP Technology is responsible for
* SAP NetWeaver Solution Support
* SAP NetWeaver Integration and Consultancy
* IT System Management
In his role he needs to ensure smooth transition from SAP NetWeaver project demand delivery and implementation to SAP NetWeaver solution operation
Project demand alignment technical and resource requirement development is essential to provide the right skills solutions and functions in time and quality Implementation and co-ordination SAP NetWeaver solutions along all project phases will provide dedicated focal point maintaining both corporate SAP vision and system integrity For adidas IT organization to successfully implement multiple SAP products he she must understand how the SAP solutions work what their touch points are and how they integrate with the existing systems in the entire landscape A holistic view and understanding about the SAP landscape and its interconnectedness internally as externally is mandatory providing key and core technology competence to the adidas IT organisation
Key Responsibilities
The spectrum of tasks can vary or be combined of different subject areas including but not limited to technology engineering application package evaluation analysis and deployment support application technology design and specification application support and IT business consulting
Being part of the team and responsible for “SAP NetWeaver Integration and Consultancy” in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws
SAP NetWeaver Solution Support
* Support day to day operation of SAP adidas-Group live solutions like AFS Apparel and Footwear Solution BW Retail SCM MDM CRM or SAP Portal
* Identifying at the early beginning support requirements from the SAP Technology Team and support that appropriate internal and external resources are staffed
* Implement and support operation harmonization efforts on a global scale
* Support local or global business demands issues resolutions and escalations
* Coordination of activities between CC’s Infrastructure Service Provider SAP and third party vendors SAP add-on’s
* Develop and support future-orientated IT strategies
* Act as the guardian of the productive SAP environments responsible for driving the approval of proposed changes
* Understand the SAP software’s functional and technical touch points across the system
* Investigate new SAP technology for potential system improvement or optimization
* Review and vet proposed SAP software modifications and changes to the system
* Bring together all key stakeholders owners and appropriate parties involved in discussing proposed changes to the SAP landscape
* Work with the company’s approval board or group to prioritize requested modifications
* Work with the adidas CC’s production support team or service providers to coordinate approved system modifications
SAP NetWeaver Integration and Consultancy
* Translate business requirements into technology specification including system architecture implementation effort resource requirement and cost model
* Develop high level project plan and support gate keeping functions for transition from project phase to solution support
* Support project manager if needed and coordinate any implementation demands
* Support technology implementations along all phases of a project
* Support the realization of new SAP initiatives like new SAP installations upgrades expansions Roll- Out’s etc
* Act as a technology scout approaching LAB scenario supporting new business demands and IT scenarios
* Support the realisation of POC
* Ensure Smooth integration of new scenarios into existing landscape

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
* Gain and maintain functional competence related to IT subject areas and the adidas-Group and industry ways of working Subject areas can be related to commercial sales and financial contexts
* Execute assigned tasks with a business goal orientation in mind

Requisite Education
* Educated to at least degree level in a Business-Computing related subject or comparable qualification
* Good knowledge of application deployment life cycle with strong analytical and social skills and with the ability to view issues from a business perspective
* Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in SAP operations and implementation
* SAP NetWeaver Certification
* Must be fluent in English speaking German is an asset
* Ability to perform within corporate guidelines Support corporate processes and enhance wherever applicable
* A strategic thinker with good communication skills
