The intern will be working for the Internal Communications and Events department within the Global Operations function
The Internal Communications department is in charge of employee and management communications for 2900 employees working across Product Development Sourcing & Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management in over 35 global locations The placement offers the intern the opportunity to work for a truly global and diverse organisation and support in the communication of the Global Operation strategy and messages via electronic and printed media as well as events
Main tasks
The intern will support the Internal Communicatios Manager and Assistant Manager in their daily tasks which include
* Researching and writing copy for the Global Operations intranet and AsiaLink
* Liaise with Global Operations Communication Champoins in collating story ideas and content
* Taking photosediting photos using Photoshop
* Shooting and creating videos using Windows Movie Maker
* Creating PowerPoint presentations
* Create artwork such as posters and brochures
* Support the planning and delivery of employee and Senior Management events
* Work closely with partner departments eg Global Operations HR Corporate Communications and functional Internal Communications departments
* Take on administrative tasks such as printing and posting data uploads etc
* Working independently on own projects
Key objectives
Through the role the intern will learn how to
* Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* Cater messages and choose appropriate communication channels for different audiences
* Work with Senior Management
* Work across different nationalities and cultures
* Create communication material using software such as Photoshop Movie Maker intranet Content Management System etc
* Stick to deadlines and agreements organise and plan events and communication activities
Candidate profile
* Strong written and verbal English skills ideally English native speaker
* Student of PR Media Studies Communication Marketing or Event Management
* Outgoing communicative creative
* Highly reliable
* Accurate in execution
* Strong interest in communications processes and topics
* Candidates with previous experience in using intranet content management systems and other electronic communication tools would be preferred
Duration 6 months starting as soon as possible
