1 MAIN FUNCTIONS PURPOSE OF POSITION
* To process payroll for all hourly and salaried employees in an accurate and timely manner and provide support in the administration of the benefits and compensation programs policies and procedures and guidance to all employees in regards to compensation matters
2 DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES
* Weekly & bi-weekly payroll processing within required deadlines for the entire company workforce
* Journal entry preparation and posting to general ledger
* Maintenance and set up of employee sub-ledger and travel schedule for finance
* Vacation pay accruals activity and reconciliation
* Bonus pay accruals activity and reconciliation
* Assist with Monthly forecasts and budget preparation and analysis
* Preparation of year-end T-4’s Releve 1’s T-2200’s and timely filing of all required reports and forms for review by Senior Human Resources Manager
* Preparation of annual wages by province summary for corporate income tax return
* Payroll related remittances and reconciliations Direct deposit payroll withholding taxes RRSP etc
* Management and reporting of authorized payroll garnishee orders
* Maintenance of all compensation and benefits related information in employee database SAP and Ceridian supporting personal information in as required by corporate policies and Canadian laws This information should be securely maintained regularly updated and confidentially published at times and in formats internet paper as required
* Maintenance of file room – must be kept tidy and update to date weekly
* Set up of all new employee files
* Maintain current knowledge of trends legal requirements and administration of benefits and compensation policies
* Training of all staff as required in the ongoing completion of forms authorization and filing requirements and other administration support procedures for HR policies
* Conduct yearly file audit
* WSIB & WCB reporting and payments to all required Provincial authorities
* Assist with Pay Equity management including postings adjustment and reporting requirements
* Preparation of monthly and weekly reports including but not limited to weekly retail spend report Saxon monthly cost analysis
* Assist with the monthly Retail Incentive program
* Assist Director of Human Resources and Senior Human Resources Manager with the management and the overall planning execution and function of the corporate Human Resources policies and procedures of adidas Canada Limited as published
* Provide back up support for the HR Specialist as needed
* Other duties – Assistance to the Senior Human Resources Manager and Director of Human Resources as requested in duties such as bonus letters Sales Objectives letters annual appraisal process implementation of new programs projects and related areas

* Strong ability of attention to detail
* Sound business judgement and thorough understanding of requirements for HR confidentiality and respect for privacy of all employees
* Excellent computer skills with efficient accurate keyboarding abilities
* Strong computer skills with proficiency in such programs as Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook
* Knowledge of human resources related government legislation across Canada
* Knowledge of Ceridian Insync an asset
* Knowledge of the French language an asset
* Knowledge of accounting an asset
4 QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
* College or University degree
* Previous payroll experience
* Previous Accounting experience
