Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation
The purpose of this role is to ensure that infrastructure services that are highly visible to end users are provided in a very functional cost effective and satisfactory way across adidas-Group
Key Responsibilities
* The position incumbent needs to develop a multi strategy for end user facing infrastructure services considering product and service quality cost market trends as well as the change in user population and expectation This specifically includes the trend of „consumerization“ where users expect the same level of flexibility of corporate IT tools as they experience in their private life as consumers That strategy needs to be aligned with senior IT management and business counterparts eg R2A program and the “executive user group” SVP level gremium that approves changes to IT workplace
* The solutions owned by this position will impact almost all users in adidas-Group in all markets It is therefore very important that the position incumbent define his solutions in dialog with the Infrastructure shared service center management as well as aligns and influences all IT Centers of Excellence as their contribution will be required to roll out these solutions across all business functions and markets
* Identify design and drive Innovation in your area of responsibility by developing and implementing state oft he art workplace solutions on a global
* Ensure user satisfaction with their IT workplace and related IT services Infrastructure and Operations provides such services to 30000 plus users many of which are forming their opinion about IT based on these services Maintaining user satisfaction while operating within budget security and other constraints is essential for overall adidas-Group perception of IT The key components are
- Global Image including OS and standard Client applications
- License Management
- Global Patch & Software Distribution
- Client Asset Management
- Technology roadmap and release plan for all client components
* Provide mobility IT solutions to users that allow them to productively work while they are not at their desk These solutions need to be functional cost effective and exciting to use This responsibility includes provisioning of smart phones and pad computers
* Provide e-mail active directory sharepoint file server services and related processes to all users in adidas-Group While these services are provided centrally from a user perspective they are part of the IT workplace and need to be provided in cost effective way and need to be shaped and innovated with the objective to reach high users satisfaction Almost all these services are key for the adidas-group business failing to provide these services will have severe consequences for our business up to stopping complete global business operations
Key Relationships
This role has impact on 25000 users and key directions get aligned with the Client Executive Group which includes SVP representatives out of all key group functions On a day to day base a trustful relationship to the Infrstructure SSC Managers is highly important
Position incumbent needs to manage relationships to key IT suppliers such as Microsoft Apple amongst others
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
* Ability to lead a team of managers and experts to provide excellent solutions for end users Ability to drive decisions in a fast moving technology field and to direct implementation so that results are shown quickly
* High Level of innovative mindset
* Strong understanding of and passion for end user computing devices and technologies and how to implement these efficiently in a large company
* In-depth understanding of the current global set up business requirements market trends and strategies from business and other organizations within Global IT to reflect these in the direction for Client and Service Management
* Ability to translate latest technology trends into service offerings for the organization based on positive business case scenarios
* Translation of future company direction to the appropriate und supporting service portfolio
* Efficient management of all underpinning contracts across all services
* Capability to align the approach with the Client Executive Groups
Requisite Education and Experience Minimum Qualifications
* Senior Client & Service Management
* People Management
* Min 10 years IT operations experience with at least 3 year in senior position
* Good communication and leadership skills – needs to be able to lead in a matrix organization
* Project Portfolio Management experience
* Demonstrated leadership and effective people management skills
* Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
* Solid experience working effectively in a multi-disciplinary team fostering collaboration and teamwork
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Ability to transfer skills and knowledge to team members
* Ability to act on own initiative
* Ability to communicate strategies to senior management level
