For our European office located in Herzogenaurach Germany we are looking for a European Sales Director
Duties and Responsibilities
* Assist the VP Sales in planning and generating profitable sales and revenue growth for the Five Ten brand in Europe
* Assist the VP Sales in creating pricing and programs for Europe
* Assist the VP Sales in developing sales forecasts on a yearly and seasonal basis – by country by product in units and revenue EUR GBP CHF
* Analyze sales results monthly and re-forecast on a quarterly basis or as needed and communicate recommendations to the VP Sales and purchasing department
* Create and manage inventory supply plans to support sales while achieving inventory turn goals
* Review and monitor inventory positions monthly making sure inventory is in line with sales and forecasts
* Assist with customer service and office administration as necessary
* Possess strong knowledge of market and industry trends competitors and leading customer strategies for our core markets
* Mastery of the full cycle of sales and distribution operations
* Must have background in sales forecasting and performance analysis pricing budgeting coordinating marketing efforts and managing supply and demand conditions
* Lead the European Five Ten team which is located in Herzogenaurach
* Staff most suitable persons in direct report positions in alignment with the VP Sales
* Set personal objectives targets guidelines and assess all direct reports
* Develop the functional and social skills of direct reports on and off the job
* Manage all reports as an integrated team by setting team objectives targets and guidelines
* Ensure smooth cooperation of all direct reports along all interfaces
Sales Management
* Interact and communicate with the company’s European agents by phone and e-mail on an as needed basis and at least weekly
* Prepare and send pertinent sales order and stock availability reports to agents on a regular basis
* Aid agents and the VP Sales in dealing with key accounts Travel to meet with agents and key accounts is expected
* Prepare closeout lists monthly and before shows and work to sell those close-outs
* Keep the VP Sales aware of all key issues relating to reps key accounts and competitors and prepare a competitive analysis twice yearly
* Be responsible for coordinating and managing major trade shows including ISPO and Friedrichshafen
* Provide input for product development and marketing needs for Europe
* Assist the VP Sales in expense budgeting for all sales and marketing activities for Europe
MarketingOther
* Collect and maintain up-to-date data base for all major European outdoorclimbing magazines with publication dates materials deadlines space costs mechanical requirements and relay this information to the Five Ten Art Director
* Act as liaison between magazines and Five Ten Art Director for coordination and placement of ads in European magazines
* Advise Five Ten Communications Manager of product review or editorial opportunities in European publications
* Manage the sponsorship program within budget with the objective of attracting the top athletes and gaining the greatest benefits
Qualifications
* Bachelors degree in Marketing Business Administration or a related field
* 3-5 years’ experience 2 years additional experience in lieu of a degree
* Min 2-3 years’ experience in leading a team
* Strong analytical presentation and interpersonal communication skills
* Ability to travel including internationally
* Flexibility in work schedule
* Multilingual English German and additional European language a plus
* Computer proficiency Excel a must
* Footwear andor Outdoor Industry experience required
* Action sports or climbing backgroundexperience a plus
