Purpose
To establish design leadership on specific projects across categories through extensive inside knowledge and exceptional design skill
Key Responsibilities
* Collects relevant information needed to create a truly inspired high performance product This includes all possible sources
* Stays current with trends materials and relevant information that affect the respective category
* Travels the market visits with athletes and coordinates focus groups to produces trend travel and research reports
* Supports creating high performance product collections in line with project objectives this includes hand sketches illustrations technical drawings color concepts and colored sketches moodinspiration boards graphic solutions…
* Collaborates with cross-functional team members on defined projects
* Ensures an efficient process and communication flow between all parties involved in all projects
Your Profile
* Knowledge of functional sportswear products
* Ability to design for new initiatives and create products with a fresh innovative perspective
* Mac skills using Illustrator Adobe Professional and PhotoShop applications
* Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams at all levels within the organization
* Ability to influence and collaborate with key business partners
* Strong conceptual thinking and ability to drive concepts
* Knowledge of design and material trends specifically sporting good industry trends
* Ability to lead design projects combining commerce and innovation
* Ability to effectively present design ideas and concepts
* Ability to operate in a fast paced ever changing work environment
* Bachelor’s Degree BA in design
* Five 5 years of relevant experience in design
* Experience in leading projects
* Equivalent combination of both education andor experience may be substituted for degree
