If you are a creativeinnovative and energetic accessories designer – we are looking for you to join our team As a designer a global outlook towards fashion performance and lifestyle trends combined with the ability to translate color graphics and materials to the products are essential You will have the ability to design relevant Accessories Equipment technically addressing fit patterns and fabrication
The ideal candidate must harbor the ability to style and design for active accessories and equipment These qualities must be matched with a global outlook towards fashion performance and lifestyle trends and combines with the ability to translate color material and graphics to the products Emphasis is placed on the ability to effectively understand and interact with a variety of cross functional Global teams
Key Accountabilities
* Take global designs directions concepts and translate them into Accessories
* Lead and provide market competitors trend technology research within performance accessories & equipment and other relevant industries and present findings
* Conceptualize and design and styling category collections within cost style count fit fabric technology performance and consumer objectives
* Create and maintain all art files and transfer of correct information to cross functional teams
* Independently attend and participate fit wear and prototype review sessions
* Travel domestically and internationally for market research and factory visit
* Work closely with Senior design team on Accessories & Equipment product
* Meet calendar deadlines and deliverables
* Create seasonal material range with Senior design team on accessories & equipment product
* Communicate and work closely in a team setting on a daily basis
* Identifying design challenges and develop innovative solutions
* Participate in Consumer insights research program
* Participate in quick turn internal design projects
* Identify the links between footwear – apparel – accessories
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
* Energetic creative innovative hard working and open-minded
* Strong computer skills including high proficiency in Adobe Illustrator 3D is a plus
* Understanding of basic functions on the Apple Macintosh computer
* Understanding of construction patternmaking and fit and wear functionalities
Qualifications
* Bachelors degree or higher in apparel fashion or product design
* 3-6 years of apparel accessories design experience Experience in product design could be a plus
* International experience is a plus
* Strong communication organizational and presentation skills are a must
* Ability to respond quickly to multiple projects with strong time management skills is required
* Advanced level in Adobe Illustrator are a must and beginner knowledge of Photoshop
* Advanced knowledge of product construction material and trim
