This position will perform daily telemarketing activities to achieve Rockport’s dual gender footwear sales and profitability goals provide the highest level of service to the Dealer Direct independent account base and manage all aspects of the account relationship including Sales Account Service and Marketing to grow the Dealer Direct Business
Responsibilities Include
Sales Selling responsibilities are focused on hitting assigned sales and profitability quotas for both men’s and women’s sales volume by soliciting fill-in and future orders within assigned accounts Volume objectives will be met by executing the business plan for each account in line with corporate and account specific goals Discuss seasonal product introductions up-sell cross-sell and review transitional products with account base Develop relationships and meet sales objectives by maintaining a minimum number of outbound telemarketing calls Maintain an accurate sales and contact data base Achieve sales quota by telemarketing assigned number of accounts each week
Account Services Provide the highest level of service to Dealer Direct Accounts to ensure orders are accurate allocating and shipping on schedule Perform order entry review open orders check shipping status product availability reviewresolve credit issues and maintain returns Run and review Account Service reports on a daily basis Responsible for working as a team to answer incoming dealer direct telephone calls through 800
Marketing Execute business to business marketing plans to increase sales volume and increase the flow of information When applicable execute consumer marketing plans to help the account base increase brand awareness and sell-through Communicate corporate marketing objectives including national advertising and marketing programs
Product Knowledge Develop and maintain comprehensive technical product knowledge Attend seasonal sales meetings and other training sessions Stay current on product additions drops and pricing
Skills Abilities and Knowledge Needed
* Ability to up-sell cross-sell and negotiate
* Must have strong telephone sales skills and be motivated to hit sales objectives
* Must be able to independently analyze and research problems and follow them through to completion Willingness to go the extra mile as necessary for the customer and the team to meet business objectives
* Excellent written and oral skills with professional telephone manner
* Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team
* Must be goal oriented
* College Degree with 2 years telemarketing experience
* Demonstrated customer service andor retail experience required minimum 1year
* Solid verbal and written communication skills
* Strong computer skills with ability to use SAP MS Word Excel and ACT programs
* Footwear experience preferred
