Position Summary
Functions as a research specialist for accounts and the collector group Assists in the daily maintenance of incoming transmissions and cash receipts from the bank and accounts to ensure accurate application in a timely manner
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities
* Handle all chargeback and account discrepancies and distributes them to the appropriate departments for resolution
* Work closely with collectors accounts customer service sales identifying communicating and resolving issues with accounts
* Apply funds accurately and complete maintenance on accounts
* Make adjustments and applications for collectors
* Assists with lockbox error reports
* Performs other related duties and assignments as required
Education Training Professional Certification and Work Experience
* High school diploma Additional schooling above the high school level with courses in Business or Finance highly desirable
* A minimum of two years in cash applications
* A minimum two years experience in accounts receivable
* A minimum of two years of direct supervision
Knowledge and Skills Requirements
* Knowledge of general accounting principles and research methods
* Fluent in English written and verbal ability to communicate effectively
* Able to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption
* Familiarity with general office machines such as computer calculator microfiche ten-key copier etc
* Requires knowledge of the field of assignment sufficient to perform thoroughly and accurately the full scope of responsibility as illustrated above
