Category Manager
Main Responsibilities
* Analyses the sport consumer market competitors and trends to ensure constant improvement evaluation of assigned categories
* Develops the Go-to-Market Category plans with Sports marketing and Brand marketing
* Works closely with all cross-functional teams such as Retail Marketing Sports Marketing Brand Marketing and Buying teams to ensure implementation of the international category strategy according to the country specific needs
* Supports optimum execution of key brand priorities withjn own retail and E-Commerce whilst supporting maximization of operational profitability
* Provides clear briefs Commercial Inputs to Headquarters which give productcategory direction and information to Global Product Marketing & Go-to-Market teams
* Creates business plans and constantly develops and analyzes new business opportunities
* Communicates SMU needs to Global Product Management
* Creates seasonal forecasts retail prices and launch dates in close collaboration with Buying department
* Manages the ranging process with effective communication and action steps in order to achieve margin profitability and inventory targets
* Follows up on how the products and category is tracking towards objectives
* Presents the ranges both internally to Buying team and externally to retailers
* Sets up and provide sell-in tools samples presentations catalogues etc
* Maintenance of all of the product information systems RMA DMT Navision etc
Key requirments
* College education preferably in marketingbusinesseconomics
* Minimum of 2 years of BrandCategory Management experience with FMCG background
* Previous marketing management experience in sporting goods industry is much appreciated
* Category specific understanding preferred
* Excellent organization and communication skills including negotiation faciliatation and influencing
* Good analytical strategic and conceptual thinking
* Ability to work independently and within a high performing team
* Strong business acumen in distribution net sales margin profit and inventory
* Fluency in written and spoken English is a must
* Firm knowledge of MS Office advanced user of MS Excel
* Willing to travel domestic and international
* Passion for Sports
