Position Summary
Provides support to the Product Development team in managing the apparel product development process Provide effective transition of designs from the prototyping stage through development and into production
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities
* Communicates and coordinates all necessary information and tasks that supports on time Buy Ready for all assigned projects
* Assists Product Development team in daily business according to their instructions
* Assist in the project management process for assigned products with an emphasis on quality product development and timely completion of all tasks in accordance with the applicable operating calendar under the guidance of the Product Developers Team Leads andor Sr Product Developer
* Establish strong cross functional working relationships in order to manage designated projects to ensure an on time buy ready performance
* Help to engineer workable prototypes which address desired function cosmetics market appeal and commercialization which includes checking of prototypes arriving for quality size and fit against desired product specifications
* Help to ensure that all materials processes prototypes and development samples are fully reviewed as directed by developers to ensure adherence to adidas Group quality standards
* Numerous organizational tasks and communications responsibilities including Article Description and all technical data completion use of a Range Management System & Flex PLM e-mail phone & fax communication world-wide to all related Departments
* Assist in organizing product and communication for various sales meetings trade shows and overseas trips
Education Training Professional Certification and Work Experience
* University College accredited courses in Apparel textiles and or work experience in the apparel industry
* 1 - 3 years related apparel product development experience
* Education background or equivalent experience in apparel related industry
Knowledge and Skills Requirements
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Word Excel Outlook
* The ability to quickly learn and use internal systems and software
* A strong knowledge of garment construction and basic understanding of textiles and garment trims and accessories
* Experience in sports related apparelaccessories company a plus
* Fluent English verbal and written
Work Environment Physical Requirements
Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials
Regularly required to sit or stand bend and reach
