An exciting opportunity exists to join the adidas Retail Team as a Retail Trainer reporting to the Retail Director Based primarily out of our Melbourne Mulgrave office and with up to 80 of each week spent out in stores this role is responsible for supporting and developing our store teams across Australia to perform at their absolute best and to provide legendary customer service for every consumer With world-class retail training resources to draw on from the adidas Global business as well as exposure to training strategies and best practices from adidas Retail throughout Asia this role provides an outstanding opportunity to not only have a measurable impact on store performance but also for the successful candidate to significantly grow and develop within their own skillset and competencies
Key elements of the role
* Ongoing rollout of the SHINE retail training program to meet global standards prioritising modules to ensure content is relevant and beneficial to store teams
* Selection and coaching of three of our best retail team members to participate in the Retail University program including providing support during graduation in China
* Work closely with the Retail HR team on the Store Staff Retention Program to lower staff attrition and ensure we’re retaining our retail superstars within the business
* Ongoing rollout of product training materials to ensure store staff know our features advantages and benefits inside-out
* Co-operation with the Retail Operations team to identify key opportunities to improve store performance through specific KPIs and customer service mystery shop results
* Co-operation with the Visual Merchandising Manager to facilitate regular VM workshops
* Working with NZ training and HR to ensure alignment of training strategy and implementation
The successful candidate
To be considered for the role you will have professional training experience and ideally a specific interest in sporting and fashion footwear and apparel You will be a great communicator with the ability to juggle multiple demands at one time Your efficient time management and ability to think both strategically and tactically will enable you to develop strong relationships with our store teams You will have a basic understanding of retail operating KPIs and a willingness to embrace the numbers to truly have an impact on retail results You work well autonomously and are a strong team player with a solution focused approach and a high quality standard of execution and delivery Tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded and Training Certification will be viewed favourably
