Purpose
Design market right accessories ranges caps bags belts etc for the adidas brand specifically focusing the adidas by Stella McCartney range as part of an international design team in cooperation with marketing product management and development
Job Profile
* Be at the global forefront of design trends and innovation and their application
* Design ranges and products for the international accessories range based on input from and in cooperation with marketing
* Own the creative process to make sure that the final products meet BU commercial and image objectives
* Collects relevant information needed to design a truly international sports- accessories collection This to include all possible sources to gain this information
- trade publications trade fairs sport events
- general interest press trend services fashion & sportswear magazines
- store checks market visits team travel
* Produces trend and travel reports for other members of the design team
* Designs accessory collections This to involve sketching by hand and the use of design computers such as Apple Mac
* Creates working drawings and colored sketches
* Draws up mood and presentation boards to be able to show creative output
* Produces sketchesdrawings for the internal adidas software product catalogue
* Is involved in handing over designs into development
* Assists Product Management in all issues regarding the realization of certain accessories
* Helps with presentations which support the launch of products designed by the designer
* Updates systems
Your Profile
* BA or MA in Fashion Design Sports-performance Design or in Accessories Design
* Know-how of respective products
* a practical apparel background eg apprenticeship as tailor is a big plus
* fluent in English preferably almost fluent in a second language Stay in a foreign country eg student exchange industrial placement trips
* Computer skills like Apple Mac Illustrator PhotoShop etc
* knowledge of experience with sportswear products
